My Serendipity Mandala design evolved from hours of research whilst preparing for my first Textile tour to Jaipur in Jan 2020.

As I doodled in between writing I found I was drawn to designing mandalas....so of course my first block just had to be a mandala design!

Why Serendipity? Well, firstly I'm a big believer in serendipity for all things in life and it became the theme of our tour....so Serendipity it had to be!

Serendipity - making discoveries that you are not looking for on your adventure....

Each block has been hand crafted by expert artisan chippas, working in rural villages north of Delhi.

Having watched this process myself, I know they will have taken hours to skilfully create each block carefully.

Uses - decorative fabric printing, papercrafting, slow stitched collages, surface stitching, textile art, mixed media and card making
